Mindburn Essentials Service Description
Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) software remotely and proactively monitors client endpoints, networks, and computers. An agent is installed on your workstation and server endpoints. These agents then feed information about machine health and status back to Mindburn. This gives Mindburn insight into your networks, provides the ability to keep machines maintained and up-to-date, and proactively stay ahead of issues and resolve them remotely.
When one of these agents detects a problem on the machine it’s monitoring, a ticket is created and sent to Mindburn, and action is taken to resolve the problem. Tickets are classified based on severity, problem type, etc., allowing Mindburn to identify critical vs. non-critical issues. In many scenarios, Mindburn will be able to identify and solve issues before you detect anything.
Using Mindburn’s Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) software, support by these systems will be provided. This includes the installation of critical updates for supported operating systems. Automated support includes remediation for installed malware, failed services, drive clean-up (temp and unnecessary files), drive optimization, virus, malware and spyware scans, and defrags as well as hardware and software auditing. Mindburn’s Remote Monitoring and Management software will monitor all PCs that are powered on 24/7 for critical errors.
Critical errors will automatically create a Service Ticket in Mindburn’s ticket management system to be addressed by a technician or Mindburn’s automation service which provides automatic response to resolve critical issues. Errors that occur during the maintenance window such as viruses found or machines that are unavailable will trigger a Service Ticket to be automatically created in Mindburn’s ticket management system. Mindburn also provides a 24/7 NOC (Network Operations Center), that can provide human interaction for issues that occur, including After-Hours at no additional cost. All time billed by Mindburn’s Automated Support software will be covered under the terms of this agreement. All Tickets are accessible in our Client Portal.
DNS filtering is the practice of blocking access to certain sites for a specific purpose, often content-based filtering. If a site, or category of sites, has been deemed a threat, then its IP address is blocked with a DNS filter and access to it is prevented. Examples of sites that may be blocked include adult, gambling, productivity sinks, or those known to pose a significant malware risk.

Automatically back up all current files, email and databases stored on Workstations to a secure online location. Backups will be performed each night between 12 AM – 3 AM. Cloud Storages are encrypted at rest by a government Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm with 256-bit key. Client Workstation must have an HDD no larger than 1.5TB. Client must have a 5 megabyte or higher Internet connection (both upload and download).
Mindburn offers a service is specifically designed to monitor for crypto-ransomware, a type of malicious software that threatens to publish the victim’s data or perpetually block access to it unless a ransom is paid. Mindburn’s Ransomware Protection service is vigilant, constantly scanning for any signs of these threats. Upon detection of crypto-ransomware, the service immediately alerts the Mindburn’s SOC (Security Operations Center), providing crucial time to respond. But also goes a step further. Not only does it alert the SOC, but it also isolates the affected device from the network.
